Common Types of Conditions
We offer pain management for the following chronic painful disorders:
The spinal column contains open spaces that create passageways for the spinal cord and the spinal nerves. Spinal stenosis is a narrowing of (or an intrusion into) these openings. This can cause a compression of the nerves.
How Is The Scanning Done?
DXA scan is a quick, comfortable and completely painless procedure.
You will be asked to lie down on a padded table and a scanner travels along your body above you while scanning.
The lumbar spine and hips are scanned. While scanning the lumbar spine you will be asked to elevate your legs and place them on a padded cubical box For hips, the box is removed and the feet placed in a brace to rotate the feet inward.
The entire procedure is fully automated with results generated by a computer graphically.
After the scanning the physician reads the report and will discuss the results with you at the next visit.
